Learning Land is a St John’s community initiative to enhance our outdoor play and learning areas. All our children benefit emotionally, intellectually and physically by time spent in the great outdoors.
We want our space to spark their imagination and interest across a wide range of physical, spiritual, emotional and academic areas. Above all, we want them to have fun and learn through play from the beginning to the end of the day. You!
Our fantastic pupils have so many brilliant ideas and we want to capture the best ones. Before we move onto the planning, budgeting and fundraising phase, we’d love your ideas on how we can develop our outdoor play areas.
We want to be as creative and imaginative as possible with our large outdoor spaces and the funds we raise via the PTA and community grants. It would be great to have a swimming pool, but perhaps a climbing frame, a poem tree, performance area or mud kitchen would be more realistic.
Get your thinking caps on! Please post the Learning Land map with your ideas into the Learning Land postbox located in your classroom by Friday 26th May. We look forward to seeing your wonderful ideas!
