Loreto Chorlton is proud to be the official partner High School for St John’s and is delighted to welcome a large proportion of pupils from year 6 each year. Loreto is the school of choice for most Catholic families in Chorlton and the surrounding areas.

At Loreto, we guarantee that each child will make excellent progress regardless of their ability upon entry. We are proud to be a comprehensive school and take great delight in ensuring that pupils from all backgrounds can become their best selves. We have an extensive curriculum and dynamic, innovative teachers who work hard to make sure that every child is challenged academically but more importantly to become responsible citizens who will go out into the world to make a difference.

We are part of the 400-year-old Loreto Community which has a reputation for delivering excellence via a network of schools and colleges which span all 6 continents. We work closely with our partner primary schools and also with our strategic lead Ann Clynch who is the principal of the highly successful Loreto sixth form college in Hulme. This means that children can have a seamless education from the ages of 3 to 18 across schools that have consistently high standards of academic rigour but remain ever mindful of the importance of gospel values.

We recognise that happily settled students make better progress and we, therefore, offer an enriched transition programme that is second to none in the city.
